My sister and I were separated in an orphanage – 32 years later, I saw again the bracelet I had made for a little girl.

 

She told me she had kept the bracelet in a box for years. When Lily turned eight, she gave it to her.

“I didn’t want it to disappear,” she said.

Before we left, she looked at me and said,
“You kept your promise.”

I hugged her.

After thirty-two years, I had finally found my sister.

I searched for her for decades.
