Why communication saves (almost) everything
This story reminded me of an essential truth: in a couple, the absence of dialogue creates fertile ground for misunderstandings.
We think we’re protecting the other person by keeping a “well-intentioned” secret. We think we’re protecting ourselves by avoiding awkward questions. In reality, we’re letting our imaginations run wild.

Trust in a relationship doesn’t mean guessing everything. It means daring to speak up, even when you feel vulnerable.
