I adopted disabled twins after finding them in the street — 12 years later, I almost dropped my phone when I learned what they had done

 

Much more than a financial success

Of course, this sum could transform our daily lives: financing studies, reducing our debts, supporting associations for deaf children.

But the real miracle lies elsewhere.

Two babies left in the cold have grown into two teenagers capable of changing perceptions of disability. Not by eliciting pity, but by proposing concrete solutions.

One evening, Lina signed: “Thank you for having us.”

Inès added: “Thank you for learning our language.”

I held them close and replied, my hands trembling: “I found you on an icy sidewalk. I promised myself I would never abandon you.”

I am often told that I saved them.

But deep down, I know one thing: they are the ones who gave new meaning to my life.
