My mother said I should stay in the kitchen during the wedding photos only until the “important guests” were gone. I didn’t mention that for the past year I had been…

I knew that would change everything.

When I arrived at my parents’ house the next day, my mom immediately tried to manage the situation again.

She told me to come late, sit in the back, and avoid photos—anything to keep me from “ruining the image.”

Even the rehearsal dinner? I wasn’t invited.

That night, I sat alone in my childhood room while they celebrated without me.

Then Daniel texted:

“Wherever you’re sitting… is now part of the secure zone.”

The next morning, everything shifted.

Security teams arrived. The entire wedding venue turned into a controlled area. My mother panicked and called me, demanding answers.

That’s when I finally told her the truth:

“I’m dating Daniel Chin.”

Silence.

Then shock.

When I arrived at the venue, I was no longer invisible.

Agents escorted me inside. Guests whispered. My family stared at me like they were seeing me for the first time.

Daniel walked in shortly after—calm, confident, and completely unapologetic.

Then he asked a simple question:

“Why is Sophia seated in the back?”

No one had an answer.

Because suddenly, their “perfect image” didn’t matter anymore.

He made it clear—without raising his voice—that I belonged in the front, with my family.

And just like that… everything changed.

At the ceremony, I sat in the front row.

Not because they wanted me there.

But because I refused to be hidden anymore.
