He nodded. “I have one. Dana. She’s talented.”

“The story continued.”

I’ve exhaled.

Years of silence.

For a mess that should have been better managed at the time.

“I thought I had done my part,” I said.

Andrew shook his head.

“You saved a child,” he said. “But the story continued.”

“I will sign what I have to sign. I will say what I saw.”

“Okay,” I said.

“I will tell the truth,” I said. “I will sign what I must sign. I will say what I saw.”
